Goosery is an iPhone app for expecting and new parents. See what to fix at home before your baby can reach it.

Take two photos of each room. Goosery gives you a list of that room's hazards, with the fix for each one. The list puts each fix at the stage you'll need it, as your baby rolls, crawls, pulls up and walks. Goosery opens soon, and you can start while you're still expecting.

We'll send you one email when Goosery opens. We won't send anything else.

You start with the rooms you already have.

  1. Take photos of each room

Walk through your home with your iPhone, from the nursery to the kitchen. In each room, take one photo standing in the doorway and one crouched down at crawling height.

  2. Get a list for each room

You get a separate list for each room, such as one for the nursery and one for the kitchen. Each item names the hazard and the fix for it, and the list shows what to do first.

  3. Keep up as your baby grows

Check things off at whatever pace the week allows. When your baby reaches a new stage or a room changes, Goosery reminds you to take new photos.

Goosery is free to start. The free version includes a crib check and a scan of your whole home that shows how many hazards turn up in each room. The full plan is a one-time fee. It spells out every hazard, with its fix and the month to do it.

See what each plan includes

In every room you photograph, Goosery checks for twelve kinds of hazard.

  • Furniture tip-over
  • Electrical
  • Choking
  • Falls
  • Burns and scalds
  • Water
  • Poisoning
  • Entrapment
  • Sleep setup
  • Sharp edges
  • Cords and strangulation
  • Everything else

A camera can find some of these hazards in your photos, but it can't find all of them. Goosery tells you which is which, and gives you a separate list of the ones to check by hand.

Every standard behind the plan is reviewed and signed by a practicing pediatrician. Read how the standards work.

You don't have to fix everything this weekend.

A baby who pulls up can reach things a crawling baby can't, so Goosery puts each fix at the stage you'll need it.

  1. Rolling

  2. Crawling

  3. Pulling up

  4. Walking
